Meet the Team

Robert Clark is Chief Investment Officer of Saltire Capital Ltd (TSX: SLT.U). He is an experienced investment executive and business leader recognized for structuring investment platforms, executing complex transactions and helping scale high-performing businesses across North America.

At Saltire, Robert plays a central role in steering the company’s investment strategy, transaction execution and disciplined capital deployment approach, focused on targeting companies that operate in the essential sectors of the real-world economy, including in manufacturing, industrial, agricultural and infrastructure-related markets. Throughout his career, Robert’s leadership philosophy has been to lead by example and guide his teams with the resources and support they needed to excel in their roles and achieve their professional goals.

Previously, Robert served as Vice-President & Managing Director, Investments at Park Lawn Corporation (TSX: PLC), where he was responsible for managing more than $400 million of pre-need and perpetual care trust funds. His mandate included the charge to structure an investment management platform to fully leverage the significant and unique nature of the company’s trust fund assets. 

Prior to joining Park Lawn, Robert served as Vice President, Investments at Bentall Kennedy, now BentallGreenOak, where he led internal and external transaction teams to source and execute investments and dispositions. He also held progressively senior investment and development roles for several large Canadian institutional real estate investors, including The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited and Oxford Properties Group.   

Robert earned a Master’s Degree from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Dalhousie University. Outside of work, Robert enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife and their three children.
