Meet the Team

Imad is the Chief Financial Officer of Saltire Capital Ltd. (TSX: SLT), a public acquirer building a portfolio of businesses operating in essential sectors of the economy. As a leader with nearly 16 years of experience spanning audit, financial reporting, complex transactions and capital markets—across Canada, the Middle East and Australia—he brings a rare combination of technical depth and commercial judgment to the role.

At Saltire, Imad is responsible for building the company’s financial infrastructure that underpins its disciplined buy-and-build acquisition strategy. He works closely with management, the Board, auditors, lenders, legal counsel and business leaders across the portfolio as Saltire acquires, integrates and scales. His area of focus is on reporting quality, capital structure, governance and the controls that allow Saltire to grow with confidence.

Before joining Saltire, Imad held senior roles at Doane Grant Thornton LLP (Canada), Grant Thornton UAE and Grant Thornton Australia, advising public and private companies across a wide range of industries, jurisdictions and reporting frameworks. His experience shaped a leadership approach centered on discipline, accountability and building teams and processes that support long-term growth.

Imad is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant in Canada, a Fellow Chartered Accountant of ICAEW and a Business and Finance Professional. He earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting for Management from Aston University in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Alongside his professional work, he is active in mentorship and community initiatives, including serving as a CPA mentor. He enjoys travel, hiking, camping and exploring new cuisines. In 2018, he summited Mount Kilimanjaro – a fitting reflection of the resilience, curiosity and appetite for challenge he brings to work and life alike.
