Meet the Team

Andrew Clark

Andrew is the CEO of Saltire Capital Ltd.  Since the inception of Saltire, Andrew led the team which has transformed Saltire into the organization it is today, through a buy-and-build strategy that identifies strong, undervalued companies in fragmented industries with opportunities for growth. Throughout his career, Andrew’s philosophy has been to invest in—and partner with—established management teams, aligning incentives for long-term value creation, while supporting business continuity and preserving a company’s legacy.

Previously, Andrew served as Chairman and CEO of Park Lawn Corporation (TSX: PLC), initially joining as Chief Operating Officer in 2011 after leading a group of investors in ultimately acquiring 35% of the company. As CEO, Andrew oversaw PLC’s transformation from a business with six locations and a $30 million market cap to 235 locations and a market cap approaching $1 billion, delivering a total return of 337% to shareholders and successfully completing over $450 million in acquisitions.

Andrew is also the former Lead Independent Director at Andlauer Healthcare Group (TSX: AHG). His earlier ventures also include founding a successful tourism and hospitality business that became an industry leader across the UK, Canada, and the US, ultimately merging with one of Canada’s largest privately held travel companies. He has been a director of and investor in several other growth oriented businesses in Canada, the US and UK.

Guided by a people-first leadership approach, Andrew focuses on finding and investing in exceptional management teams, giving leaders the resources and autonomy needed to drive growth. He believes company culture and leadership integrity are fundamental to sustained performance.

Andrew holds a Master’s Degree from The University of St. Andrews and a Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Allison University. Committed to philanthropy in the education sector and community advancement, Andrew previously served for 8 years on the Mount Allison University Board of Regents, after serving as President of the Alumni Association for 8 years. Andrew is also a past director of The Sterling Hall School in Toronto.

Outside of work, Andrew can be found playing recreational hockey or on the golf course and enjoys spending his summers in Nova Scotia with his family.
